If you’re trying to eat healthy and cut out calories, smoothies are the next best option. They are filling and carry less calories than most foods. Here are some of my favorite smoothies and their recipes.

Strawberry/Banana Smoothie: Like the name implies, the main ingredients in this smoothie are strawberries and bananas. Personally, I like more bananas than strawberries in my smoothie, but you can make it according to your preference. Here is the recipe for the smoothie.

Strawberry/Coconut Smoothie: Freeze about 2 cups coconut water in 1 or 2 ice-cube trays. Blend 2 cups each chopped pineapple and coconut ice cubes, 1 1/2 tablespoons lime juice, 1 tablespoon honey and 1/2 cup coconut water.

Pineapple/Mango: Blend 1 cup each chopped pineapple and mango, 1 cup coconut water, a dash of ground allspice and 1 cup ice. Sprinkle with toasted coconut.

Green Tea, Blueberry, and Banana Smoothie: Antioxidant-rich green tea makes this healthy smoothie a nutritional powerhouse.
Strawberry-Kiwi Smoothie: Stay full and fight disease. This high-fiber smoothie recipe becomes even healthier when you use organic kiwis, which contain higher levels of heart-healthy polyphenols and vitamin C.
